PROJECT SANSKAR

A WAR AGAINST EDUCATIONAL INEQUALITY

MISSION AND VISION

One of the most powerful tools for the social and economic progress of a country is quality education. It brings with it equality among people.

The aim of this project is to enable holistic development of underprivileged students by imparting education free of cost. Our mission is to provide quality education to these young and bright minds so that they prove to be an asset for their family and the country at large.

TEAM STRUCTURE

58639121_2235908689829033_57067645914138

We are a team of 100 people who are  dedicated towards  bringing about a change in the lives of 70 economically challenged children deprived of quality education. The students of SRCC volunteer to teach these bright  students of classes 1st to 12th.

INCEPTION

The success story of Project Sanskar began in the year 2006 with teaching the children of nonteaching staff of the college. Starting with as many as 2 students back in 2006, the project currently has a student base of 70 students. Till now the project has impacted about 100 students and aims to run on an even larger scale in future.

Project Sanskar is an enriching experience not only for the children but also for the volunteers who put their heart and soul into the success of this project.

  • BENEFIT TO VOLUNTEERS:

These children serve as a source of inspiration for the volunteer. They are motivated to revamp the education system. The volunteers learn how to be grounded to the earth.

  • BENEFIT TO STUDENTS:

The children get the opportunity to interact and get guidance from  the best minds of the country and are encouraged to think out of the box. They are motivated to make their life better by walking on the path of education. The sharing of ideas with volunteers enables creative thinking among the children.

We conduct two hour long classes six days a week within the college campus premises. Regular tests enable us to evaluate the progress of students and the effectiveness of our teaching methods.

We place special emphasis on encouraging kids to participate in extra-curricular activities like origami-making, singing, dancing and many more.

We organize game sessions for the entertainment of students like sack-race, lemon race, tug of war musical chairs, etc.

We focus on value education of students which shapes and moulds their personality. We also provide computer lessons to students during holidays to teach them the basics of using a computer like sending an email, ab-initio level of MS office.

We strongly believe in extending knowledge beyond classroom walls. Hence we conduct regular educational trips to museums, monuments, science centers etc.
