Visit to Charity Bird Hospital

NSS SRCC visited the Charity Bird Hospital near Digambar Jain Mandir in Chandni Chowk on 30th March 2017.

The Hospital treats all kinds of birds and the treatment is up to the mark. It was an amazing experience to see the birds being treated and taken care.

Screening a film - "Where the elephant sleeps"

One idea is a start for multiple actions towards change.
NSS had successfully conducted the workshop on 26th March, 2018 highlighting the issue of animal sufferings by presenting a film- 'where the elephant sleeps'. This idea really influenced the audience and they had taken pledge to respect and care animals.

Visit to Cancer Patients:

NSS SRCC organised a visit for its volunteers on Saturday 3rd March, from 9:30 AM to Shanti Avedna Sadan, near Safdarjung Hospital.

The Shanti Avedna Sadan is India’s first Hospice, an institution that takes care of the advanced terminally ill Cancer patients. The volunteers greatly bonded with the patients and also sang and played songs with them

Wall Painting

NSS, SRCC successfully completed the wall painting at Sarojini Nagar, Delhi with an overwhelming participation by our volunteers. The event was organised in association with Cross Bow Miles, founded by Shrishti Bakshi, the women behind this noble initiative. Shrishti has commenced a journey walking from Kanyakumari to Kashmir; spreading the idea of Women Empowerment and indeed, proving that women are no less than men and should be given equal opportunity and treated with dignity.

Cancer Awareness Play

NSS SRCC in association with YouWeCan Foundation successfully performed cancer awareness play held at Noida cancer awareness camp. The event was graced by the presence of respected government officers, Labour enforcement officer, District head of Anti-Cancer Government Organisation. The performance was widely appreciated by the guest of honor and audience.

NSS SRCC organised an engaging trip for the Sanskar kids to the India Gate to celebrate the 69th Republic Day. The kids were not only exposed to the varied facets of the Indian diversity but also got an amusing day out learning more about India.

Visit  to Delhi State Cancer Institute

Life hails kindness and so does humanity. With this intent at heart, NSS SRCC organised an interactive visit to the Delhi State Cancer Institute on Saturday, 4th November, 2017 at Dilshad Garden. 
The NSS Volunteers interacted with the doctors and the patients and took an ingrained insight into the whereabouts and the complexities of the disease.

Cancer Awareness Workshop

NSS SRCC successfully conducted an engaging cancer awareness workshop with Pink Chain Campaign on 26th September, 2017.The workshop entailed description of various types of prevalent cancer. Light was thrown to identify the symptoms for cancer detection and its preventive cure at an early stage.It was a great learning experience for the students post which certificates of participation were extended to them.

Self Defense Workshop

NSS SRCC feels overwhelmed to inform all of you that self defence workshop which was organised on 18 September and 19 September, 2017 by Delhi Police succesfully completed its two-day Workshop.Students imbibed loads of useful techniques for their self defence, listing few of them, as Single hand grip, Double hand grip, Knife attack defence, Attacking kicks, grips, Basic Karate.

NSS SRCC has taken initiative to serve the society in all the possible ways. Today, we conducted the waste management awareness program in Qutub Minar; there we interacted with many people and had productive conversation with them.

NSS SRCC in collaboration with NASSCOM Foundation organised an interactive workshop to highlight the theme of social innovation. With liberty at weekends, the NASSCOM Social Innovation Forum and MyKartavya’s Social Innovation Roar program works towards securing Social Media updates to spread the benefits of this initiative to the beneficiaries of the program.

Not only the sparkling eyes but also the melodious voices and the artistic performances made the day all the more special. With glimpses of the show, we reiterate the lessons of our beloved teachers without whom our lives would have been incomplete!

Blood Donation Camp

The blood donation camp 2017 completed its another successful round. We feel elated to see so many social enthusiasts turning up for donating blood to address health issues prevailing in our country. We secured 100+ responses, of which 76 people donated the blood. For those who couldn't donate on account of underweight, age factor etc., we urge them to adopt a healthy routine and a healthy diet.
